Trisha interview about Yennai Arindhaal & Ajith - Kumudam magazine dt 19th January 2015
Trisha looks as young as ever, as we approached her for Yennai Arindhaal special interview.
Q: Your experience with acting with Ajith again?
Trisha: It was very nice. Our combination started in 'Ji' and continues for the 4th time in Yennai Arindhaal. I see a lot of changes in Ajith. His range has grown in multiples. His dedication towards work, care, hard work & talent must be the reason for this. One thing that hasn't changed at all is his simplicity. he is very simple & so sweet.
Q: About your character in the movie?
Trisha: Only director Gautham Menon should speak about it in detail. It is an important role. Generally, heroines in Gautham's films will have lot of importance. It will be there in YA too. This character is as beautiful as my Jessie in VTV. And they have shown me more beautiful than my other films. I received a lot of compliments after the stills of the movie were out.
Q: Tell us the secret of that young & beautiful look?
Trisha: There is nothing secret about it. I exercise & gym regularly. Eat like as I normally do. Might be because of the make-up & costumes I would look more beautiful. Gautham is the reason behind it. He took extra care in make up and costumes to show me differently. Dan Macarthur, our cameraman has also shot very beautifully. Gautham's sister Uthara has done costumes for the movie. All these jointly has shown me beautiful.
Q: How is Ajith in the shooting spot?
Trisha: He is a calm man for the outside world. But he is very jovial during the shooting breaks. He keeps people around him very happy. He gives some very useful tips for me. We also get the tasty Biriyani he often makes. Everyone knows him only as a biriyani specialist. But I am addicted to the Italian dishes he cook, especially Pasta. I feel very comfortable & secure when he is around.
Q: Who has got more importance - Anushkha ot Trisha?
Trisha: Gautham called me when I was shooting in Spain & wanted me in the project. Once I was back in Chennai, he narrated me the story. I was not sure as it was a double heroine subject. Later I rejected the offer. He insisted that I will be the best option for the role. The production house also insisted that. Only after started acting in the project, I felt I would have misses this if I had not taken it up. I should thank Gautham for that.
Q: Have you become friends with Anushka?
Trisha: Yes. I am generally friendly with all. Anushka has also become close in my circle. We both have equal importance in the movie. She is a very nice person, doesn't have any airs. I call her Sweety n she calls me Trish.
