2012 belongs to me! Challenge from Samantha

Any one who looks at her will celebrate her as “Nee Thaane yen Ponvasantham” . There is no appeal... Samantha is very sweet and cute!

Q: Is Samantha good girl or a naughty one?

Sam: My mother is from Kerala, father is from Andhra. Two brothers, Jaanadheen and David, taking care of me like Shalini of Kaadhalukku Mariyadhai. Samantha is a normal nice girl not attached to any sentiment and religious beliefs.

Q: How do u speak such a good Tamil?

Sam: Hey! I am a Chennai girl done B.Com from Stella Maris. Then how do u expect me not to speak Tamil? Even though my mom and dad belongs to different states, I am brought up fully in Chennai. I am a Tamizhachi speaking “Konjal Tamil”.

Q: How is it possible to do consecutive big banner films  like “Neethaane Yen Ponvasantham” and “Kadal”?

Sam: Earlier I did 2 Tamil films, “Maascovin Kauvery” and “Baana Kaathadi”, but they didn't reach out to the audience well. So I was waiting to do my next Tamil film which has to be a big sensation. My wait and prayers fetched me Neethaane Yen Ponvasantham. I have to thank Gautam sir for this opportunity. He gave me a career break in Telugu, he had done it for me in Tamil too. I will be “Ninaivellam Nithya” in the hearts of Tamil audience once NEP releases.

I participated in the audition of Mani sir’s Kadal. But i never thought I will be selected. I feel very lucky now!

Q: What does Jiiva say?

Sam: He gets along very jovially. He doesn't think only about his performance. He understands my best and helps bringing that out of me. I have to speak in 3 languages consecutively in NEP; Have to tell ‘I Love you’ to three heroes in 3 languages Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. He keeps kidding me during the break time as ‘ At a time you say I Love you to 3 people, you are a big person’.

Q: There is heavy competition her from Kajal, Hansika, Shruthi & Amala Paul?
Sam: Not only them, I compete with every heroine who enter into the industry through films every Friday. I do my films with lots of love and dedication. When my films are the best, i don’t need to care about others. Only in this year 8 of my films are releasing in Tamil & Telugu. Keep it in writing, 2012 belongs to Samantha!

Q: Who are all your friends in Cinema?

Sam: I did Brindavanam in Telugu along with Kajal. From that time, she is very close to me. I share many things that are close to my heart with her. But not anything about Cinema. Tamannah is also a good friend of mine!
