The English translation follows:

"For how many days I will enact a nice girl's role? - Trisha's dreams"

"Need to keep the body fit, need to go to the gym, yoga class, reduce my anger... these will be my resolutions for every new year.. but I never keep them" says Trisha about her New Year resolutions, with her trademark smile. We wished her a happy new year & the conversation continues...

Q: From Miss Chennai to Advertisements to Cinema.. How is the journey?

Trisha: This was not expected. Quoting Vadivelu's popular joke, "Every work must not be done without planning" is what people say (smiles). But I never plan anything in life. I change myself to how things happen to me. So far it went well, doing well & I believe it will work in future too...

Winning Miss Chennai title was the platform for whatever I have achieved so far. I got into everyone's attention after that. I got lot of opportunities. I didn't accept anything. After doing lot of ad films & fashion shows I lost the fear of facing camera. Then I got lot of opportunities to work in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi & now Kannada films. And now I am running all around.

Q: U are stepping in to 12th year in the Tamil film industry. What has cinema taught u?

Trisha: (smiles). I learnt a lot. Especially patience. It feels surprised now to rewind and see how I passed all the hurdles & pressure moments. I will be called for night shoots when every one sleeps. Shoots will continue for 2-3 days. Have to shoot in the freezing  as well as hottest temperatures. Have crossed so many instances like this. Can't go out when ever I like, because the shoot will get affected because of me. Even though I lost so many things like this, I could be able to learn a lot & gain many new friends.

Q: What are the interesting things or gifts that came your way when u won the Miss Chennai title?

Trisha: After I won the Miss Chennai title, waking up the next day morning, couple of producers approached for acting in films. Dir Gautham Menon asked me to act in Minnale. Both my mom & dad told I am only in school, so I can try acting after getting a basic degree. I was just 16 when I won Miss Chennai title. Even after that lot of opportunities were coming.

Q: Are you getting the satisfaction when u act in other language films, like u get in Tamil films?

Trisha: There is nothing wrong in grabbing the opportunities when they come from other languages as well. Definitely the comfort levels are less when compared to acting in our mother-tongue. But we are all Indians. Now I am acting in a Kannada movie. I can learn the language when I act in a new language. I can meet new people & learn new things. Acting is par language, is what I feel. Look at Kamal sir, he acts in many languages. If good scripts happens that is enough.

Q: You acted with Kamal sir & Chiranjeevi sir. Now u are acting with Simbu & Jiiva. What is the difference u feel?

Trisha: It is just the difference of senior & junior actors. I feel little nervous when acting with Kamal sir & Chiranjeevi sir. That wont be felt when acting with Simbu or Jiiva. I was nervous when I was acting with Kamal sir, because he is a perfectionist. If u look in to it from cinema angle, both the seniors & juniors give the same hardwork. I dont find much difference in that.

Q: Did u ever think u will achieve this feet when u acted in the film Jodi?

Trisha: Acting in Jodi was an accident. I did it as just another modelling assignment that time. I never thought I will become an actor at that time. I wouldn't have done that film if I had a feeling of becoming an big actor. Just did that film as a jolly work. Then i felt I shouldn't have done it. But that is also an experience.

Q: What is your dream role?

Trisha: I wanted to do a role like Ramya Krishnan's in Padaiyappa. I would agree immediately if anyone comes to me with such a role. How many days I will act as a calm, bubbly, nice looking girl? I would like to test with some villainous role in future. Have to wait and see what happens.

Q: There has been a lot of rumours about your love. Can't you just break the news?

Trisha: When I didnt break any news about that, it means that there is nothing like that. I never had the intention of hiding some thing from the media. When I find the right guy & right time, I will inform everyone. Can't say, it could be in 2014 also !!

Q: How did your father's demise affected you?

Trisha: (after a brief silence) It definitely affected me a lot. Because I have a lot of un-fullfilled wishes with my father. When he was working in Hyderaba, he had called me for a dinner lot of times. But I would be busy with shoots those times. I would only feel to go back & sleep after the shoots. I took the liberty since he is  my father. But I feel now that I should have gone those times when he called.

I missed lot of things in my life to be shared with my dad because of this attitude. But those moments never came. I miss my father a lot !!! (Her eyes gets wet)
