JFW (Just for Women) one of South India's leading Women's magazine in to its 6th year, conducts an annual mega awards show to felicitate women achievers from various fields.
The 5th jfW Women Achievers Awards for 2013 was held on 1st March 2013 at Sir Mutha Venkatasubbarao Auditorium, Lady Andal School, Chetpet.
It was an evening of glitz & glamour coupled with stunning performances that also saw women achievers from various fields being felicitated. Those include Saroja Devi (Legend), Scientist Tessy Thomas (Science & Technology), Alamer Valli (Dance), Singer Sujatha Mohan (Music), Indian Sqaush sensation Dipika Pallikal (News maker of 2012), Tennis star Sania Mirza (Excellence in Sports), actor Hansika Motwani (Sensation of the year) & actor Trisha Krishnan (Excellence in Entertainment).
The event started with a rocking dance performance from actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, moving on to a stunning singing performance from actor cum singer Andreah Jeremiah. An full house of audience witnessed a heartening tribute by singer Swetha Mohan to her mom & one of the award recipient for the evening singer Sujatha Mohan, accompanied by Alap Raju & troupe. A dance performance by two kids of India got talent show brought the audience to edge of their seats. Followed by dance performance by Remya Nambeesan & a tribute to legend Saroja Devi by actor Anjali. That one performance that stole the entire show was a rocking, energetic, out of the world show by young sensation music director Anirudh Ravichandran along with Hip Hop Tamizha Aadhi.
