2 years of October 16

October 16 is here again...

Completing 2 years of meeting Trisha for the first time on this day!!

2 years back, a day that started as a normal, peaceful, lazy.. Sunday, turned to be the most memorable day....

May look crazy to someone to celebrate it year after year, but its not just a day of meeting ur favorite celebrity, but it turned out to be a day that made what I am today - A person who speak for animals....

This day, two years back When I held a puppy in my hands for the first time, I never knew I will turn out to be an animal lover, I will volunteer with animal welfare groups, will start raise my voice for their better living, against their cruelty and much more. For a person, who have lived all his life before this day, with no connection to pets, this is huge.

This day & a few days that followed became much more significant because it opened a new world to me. Animals don't live a happy normal life, like we see & cuddle some beautiful & cute puppies or kittens but there is a darker side to them, the sufferings, the way they are abandoned, tortured, killed....

So, is this all about just doing service? Not at all, I got new friends who share the same ideology, from different platforms, languages, across the country or the globe. We enjoy the work what we do together. May be If someone had asked me what I had done meaningful in life 2 years back, i wouldn't have be able to answer them. But today I will proudly say I am an animal activist & I had spent my weekends meaningfully, helping the souls that only know to give us nothing other than love. The kind of satisfaction you get while saving few lives, getting new homes for those left on the streets... that cannot be matched. It is a work that comes from the soul.

People ask me, you do all these things just because Trisha is an animal lover, Yeah, that's right, but I don't do things for her, but because of her... and there is a difference!! I am here doing it consistently for over 2 years & I feel proud about it. If I have been able to make at least a few to consider helping animals, or a few to adopt them instead of buying, have helped save lives of few of them.... I am very happy & I will continue to do it for ever. I will always be thankful to her for showing me this wonderful world. Never knew a work that I started doing because Trisha believes in it, will give me such immense happiness. I always knew there is a lot of work to be done, nevertheless I am already a small drop in the ocean.

Few people think that Trisha does this for publicity, few have told this to me too.

Being a celebrity, there is no need for one to sit a whole day in sun to find a home for a pup that is left outside your home, and when she couldn't, come back again another day to do the same. She could have asked any of her servant to do it.

During the adoption drive in Blue Cross, for a not so healthy dog that wanted help in terms of finding a good home, she promised to help. If that is for publicity, she could have said it in front of crowd and kept mum about it once she left that place. But, next day morning she voluntarily followed up, got the details of the dog shared information asking people to help.

She sat for about 4 hours continuously in hot & humid temperature during the dog show this year. Not only she came as a special guest, she interacted with people there, very enthusiastically remembering names of people & their pets from her previous meetings.

These things doesn't come for publicity... it is pure passion & love. I have witnessed these from close quarters.

If I keep writing my love for animals & Trisha, it will be a never ending story. All I ask people who read this blog is: You follow ur favorite celebrity, love their work & so on, but also try to add some thing qualitative to your life from what they do. Helping out children, old people, poor people, animals... Do it in your free time, anything that could change the quality of your life, make you a better person!!

That is what this day had done to me!!!

Thank you for spending your valuable time to read my thoughts :)))
